Their story is possibly the best this writing duo has produced! It gives us a great new story, but includes characters from previous books, updating us on their lives. This book drew me in with the intensity of its emotions, and let me tell you, those emotions ran the gamut! As a reader, I felt like I was on that emotional rollercoaster with Arik & Kellus, and honestly feel the need to ride it again by re-reading this book. I'm sure I'll pick up on things I missed along the way, since I started this at 12:20 am today, as soon as it hit my Kindle!

Alexander, is my auto buy, Author. I do not just *read her books*, I undergo an out-of-body experience, while reading them. I sat on pins and needles awaiting, the release of, *PAINTED ON MY HEART*… In this book, Alexander, has *shattered*, the glass ceiling and has gone to *church*. SHE HAS GONE THERE…
I admire her courage/bravery for telling this controversial/bold/cutting-edge love story between two seemingly impossible lovers, damaged, broken, dysfunctional, three-dimensional men, who shared undeniable chemistry. Although at first glance, Arik and Kellus appeared to have nothing in common, however, with 's magnificent, stellar storytelling, they just clicked.
This well written romance between these two men, read like an old fashioned, tear-jerker of Old Hollywood. I sat on the edge of my seat, eyes glued to the first written word to the very last. I screamed at the top of my voice, cried my ugly tears and cussed like a drunken sailor, as the MCs navigated the journey towards their HEA.
Although the story was about the MCs Arik and Kellus, the cleverly written secondary characters, brought substance to the story. From the *horrible ex-boyfriend*, whom I loved to hate, to the, *DAMN, SHE WENT THERE* subject-matter and to the incredibly supportive, funny FAM, all gave balance to the push/pull between the MCs.
This prolific author has both entertained and educated her readers to the *closeted issue*, that most authors are not brave enough to write about. I greatly applaud this daring author for her brilliance and I am most Thankful for the dignity in which she unfolded the story.
BRAVO.....BRAVA......HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...MUST READ!!!!

Another fantastic novel from a great author! I loved how it was in the DFW area and that my town got a shot out in this book, where the antagonist's parents live. I liked the plot of the art on how the way it created from the artist, Kellus, and how it can be appreciated and connect by the admirer of the art, Arik. I liked how HIV and PrEP were addressed in this book and how it can be dealt with to still have a relationship. Kellus and Arik have an intense attraction and had a rough start to becoming a couple. Each have a past that keeps bothering them, Kellus has his ex, the status of HIV, and feelings of being abandoned. Arik has his former "buddy" wanting to be more in his life, he is not using to being the one to give chase, and was raised to solve problems even though someone doesn't ask for help. These 2 form a close bond and realize that they cant live without each other, however each must learn to change things about themselves to form a long lasting relationship. With Kellus he must realize his mistake in ignoring all the signs and advice from the people around him in dealing with John as well as learn to let the past go. Arik must now learn how to work even though all his focus is now on Kellus, and how to be protective but not smother Kellus. I liked how we saw old characters from previous books. I enjoyed seeing how dealing with an addict or a person who is dependent on you, can cause misery for all people involved and how it should be handled.

Firstly let me say, Kellus drove me nuts, I wanted to slap him upside the head at times, especially towards the end when the story takes a turn, (he needs his head read).
You couldn't say a bad thing about the wonderful character that was Arik, he's absolutely perfect in every way, and Kellus was lucky to have him, he had the patience of a saint, he dealt with Kellus' problem with a wonderful attitude, most people would probably freak, but his love for him showed early and strong.
The storyline was sad in parts, but was also a wonderful love story, I soaked it all up and absorbed it and I never wanted their story to end, in saying that it doesn't because it really is a HFN with no real epilogue (only about a month or so in advance).
I loved how previous character that I loved showed up in this book, Colt and Jace, Gage and Trent as well as a cameo from Tristan and Dylan. Congratulations again on a wonderful read.
is always a one click author for me!!! This book was one I was looking forward to for a while! I knew going in that was going to be a little longer than usual for the author as well. i am so happy to say I loved ever second of it. Arik and Kellus are to men both with flaws of their own but each see something in the other and just click! I will admit i spent many a chapters crying with them both as they discovered how to grow on their own and how to grow with each other as a couple. I totally loved seeing old friends from The current between us and Secret! Loving having the universe all coming together!
